Moving Beyond the Talking Head as a Primary Leadership Tool

Do your meetings inspire and do all people in the circle participate? Or do your meetings lack the space and time to open the conversation to new ideas and other types of wisdom? There is power and vision in creating space for all people and types of intelligence to be heard. Slowing down to make room for those insights and connections requires an intention to be present and to listen. In our fast-paced world, we can benefit from the use of tools that can encourage and efficiently transition us into such a state of mind.

This workshop will use forest bathing techniques to engage participants in gaining access to a different level of understanding of their own unique perspective. From there, small groups will work together to talk about and share their individual insights and the related wisdom/skills that they believe they bring to their cooperative and their community. The goal is to encourage more creative solutions while opening space for the voices that may not typically show up in our brain-centered systems and meetings. Everyone will be encouraged to share if they want and in a way, comfortable for them. The diversity of perspectives is essential to cooperative resiliency.
