Tootie’s Tempeh™ is a worker-owned consumer foods cooperative innovating tempeh—a high protein, plant-based food. It will be the first commercial tempeh producer to ferment without plastic bags, to package with plant-based and recyclable materials, and to expand through a regional cooperative/franchise model so wherever Tootie’s is purchased it supports local farmers, communities and workers. The company will launch its delicious, pre-seasoned, easy to prepare tempeh in November, 2020.
