FOO-DOO Doll: Becoming Yourself in a Cooperative

How do we become effective members, leaders, and agents of change in our cooperatives and communities? This workshop explores the balance between authentic self-expression and attunement to the lived experience of others. Together, we’ll examine how to speak and hear multiple truths within a foundation of mutual respect and love.

Our Family of Origin (FOO)—our first human system—shapes how we understand relationships, authority, conflict, and change. Because these early patterns continue to influence our values and behavior, cooperative leaders benefit from knowing how their family and cultural histories inform the ways they show up today. This workshop offers a chance to reflect on and to understand the systems that shaped us—and to strengthen the leadership capacities we bring to our communities.
