Cooperative Leadership and Change (Leadership/Management)

Cooperatives have unique potential to cultivate and develop leaders for positive impact.
This session is for leaders ready to explore an inward approach to leadership and
change. If there is a change you strongly desire and it isn’t happening, it is rarely about
willpower or wanting it enough. If your thoughtful plans and intentions are resistant to
change it is beneficial to explore unseen motivations and/or perceptions.
In this interactive workshop participants will go through a process to explore how
change efforts are often derailed. Together we will map out a personal or professional
change goal using writing prompts, group sharing and interactive exercises.
Participants will come up with a powerful improvement goal that would make the biggest
difference to their happiness and effectiveness as a leader. To help get started with
your own thinking, here are a few “sample” improvement goals:

•        To “show up” more in meetings
•        To say NO more — to set priorities and actually stick with them
•        To delegate more
•        To hold people accountable
•        To become a better listener
Join this session if you seek to increase your impact on your organization and seek a
tool to support the learning and growth of future leaders.
